Parent Involvement

In this qualitative study, I will interview 5 parents and a principal. It will take place in an urban elementary school in a large district in NC. I will observe some Parent Teacher Association events to see how parent involvement translates from teacher conferences to overall participation. This study will focus on ways technology can help to improve parent participation in a school.

Alecia Jackson:

Everything is there, Matt -- great!
Let's smooth it out a bit:
Use "will" rather than "will be"
Rather than "my principal," use "a principal"
Also, include what level of school (e.g., elementary?)

Matt Maurer:

Ok, I think I've got it fixed!

Alecia Jackson:

Yep -- one more "will be" to change to "will" (will be observing to will observe).
