In this qualitative study, I will interview 5 diverse teenagers who frequent a large public library in an urban southeastern city, as well as that library’s young adult librarian, and analyze bestseller lists and circulation records in order to determine what literature is popular with modern teenagers and what specific elements of those texts capture teens’ interest.
