Staff Development- Kristen Reynolds

The staff development workshop that I think I am going to construct is using story maps to compare fairy tales. Each fairy tale is its on "folder center" and includes the story map, books, and other needed materials. Teachers could actually create a center while they are in the workshop (make and take!) and then follow-up at a later date to create the rest of their centers once they have retrieved all of the fairy tales that they would like to do. I created these centers and am using them in my class right now. I have not taught a staff development on them but have shared them with my grade level. I think teachers in all grade levels could use these and if they don't want to to do fairy tales they can use them to compare any set of stories.
