Staff Development Plan-Lorie Hedrick

I am working on a staff development plan for K-2nd teachers about literacy stations. I chose this topic because it is an area that I always looking for more ideas about. For many teachers figuring out what to do with the rest of the class while they work with small groups is a struggle. For teachers who have a good system in place, new ideas are always welcome. Literacy stations can also be used as activities for children to do when they finish assignments early and ask "What can I do now?" My plan is to conduct the workshop as a 1/2 day, with one hour for the staff development and the rest of the time available to use for making the stations (make and take).
